Pattern
Generative UI protocols (MCP Apps and A2UI)
Let an agent or tool return interactive UI (forms, dashboards, charts, approval screens) that works across hosts, either by shipping a sandboxed web app with the tool (MCP Apps) or by describing the UI as data the host renders from its own trusted components (A2UI).
Classification Open standards for agent-returned UI: server-shipped sandboxed HTML (MCP Apps) and declarative component trees rendered natively by the host (A2UI).
